New Flat Photoshoot

It's been a month since I moved in my new flat with my friend Angel. We met last year in one of our lectures being surprised that we actually come from the same town and have the same family names (our family names are pretty rare...)! As we've been getting along quite well, we decided to live together this year:))
Our new flat is quite nice and decent. Except for the two bedrooms, we have a kitchen and living room as well, which is pretty homey and cozy, and it's exactly how I want my term time home to be! We went for a photoshoot yesterday (Angel was modelling and we took the pictures), after we were home, Angel suggested that maybe we could try in the living room . I've never fancied doing photography at home because the light is just so poor that I thought it wouldn't be bright enough. However, we tried anyway. Surprisingly, the photos turned out quite good and I actually like them. Obviously, they still needed to be edited, but it just sort of inspired me that sometimes it's good to try something out even if it might not look the best at the beginning, results could be the biggest surprise ever.

So there are three of the photos I took of Angel. More photos of yesterday's photoshoot and my new flat will be coming up in later posts. Hope you guys enjoy this one.
Thank you:))
Lots of love x

Throw back summer

Locating in the very south of China, Guangdong province is probably one of hottest places in China.
Whilst I was on holiday there, it was absolutely boiling all the time. To escape the heat wave, my parents took me to the place (sorry I forgot the name) which is quite popular for tourists in summer to  get away from the busyness, crowd and heat in the city.

It's basically a small city by the sea with nice beaches and beautiful sunshine. The hotel we were staying was at top of a hill. At the back of the hotel were several pools with a huge lawn around them. At the very far back was a small but very decent, nice beach. Straight after we checked in our rooms, we went to the beach to cool ourselves down. The wave was quite rough on that day and I decided to walk along the seaside and take a few pictures. Unfortunately, since it was already late when we went there, we didn't stay long before the lifeguard closed down the beach and we had to leave.

After shower, we were out for dinner. The night was quite peaceful and breezy. We drove down the hill and found a small restaurant that served great seafood. Since it was a touristy place, the food was quite pricey. Being a huge seafood fan, it was probably the best meal I had for the whole summer!

The next morning, after we checked out the hotel, we had another seafood meal before we headed off to the next place haha:)) A typical foodie's life!

I'M BACK! - Summer in Guangzhou

Haven't been able to use Google for the last three months in China, I'm finally back in England and restart my blog. I decided that my first post back from this summer holiday is to introduce my hometown Guangzhou where I spent most of this summer.
Guangzhou is in the very south of China which is close to Hongkong (two hours away by train). It is one of the biggest cities in China even though it's not as well-known as Beijing and Shanghai. If you a fan of any international sports games or events, the Asian Games was held in this city in 2010, which I'm every proud of. I still remember myself being a cheerleader at the opening ceremony when I was still studying there back in that time. It was one of the most exciting moments in my life.

The day before I came back to England, I went to T.I.T Creative where there is a cluster of technology businesses, fashion/drawing workshops, small galleries, fashion retailers, photography studios and cafes. It's one of the my favourite places in Guangzhou. I'm absolutely in love with the creative and playing vibe there, which has brought me so much inspiration. I could just spend a whole day walking around this area, visiting the galleries and shops, enjoying the green and then had desserts at a delicately decorated cafe. There are lots photography enthusiasts taking pictures there during the day, so it's quite easy to find someone with the same interest as me and have a casual chit chat.  (PS: If you happen to know the social media Wechat, its headquarter is right in T.I.T!)

So here is a short introduction of the place where I were born and raised, and a place I love to go in this city. More information and photos about Guangzhou will be uploaded in my future posts, hope you've enjoyed this one:)

Good night world x

Hathersage Peak District Part 1

It's been a short while since my last post, finally got time to update my blog:))

If you're living in or around Manchester you must have heard of Hathersage which is a small town in peak district. It's a lovely small place about an hour away from Manchester with absolutely stunning natural landscape and friendly folks.
Me and my friend Kelly went there a couple of weeks ago for hiking. It was a random trip and again we weren't properly outfitted, all we got with us were some snacks, cameras and excitement.
It was a beautiful sunny day, since we didn't prepare anything (not even a map:p) we just followed other hikers and wandered around the hills.
However, we were lucky that somehow we managed to find our way to the rocky hills. The only thing is it was a pain for us to climb to the top of the rocks. Well...maybe just me...
As I mentioned we didn't prepare anything, we didn't realise there is a little path which would lead us directly to the top. Instead, WE CLIMBED.
The hill is quite steep and the rocks are a bit slippery, as we were wearing converse (...), when we were climbing we literally bended down on the rocks and moved upward bit by bit. I'm not scared of height, but I didn't dare to look down because honestly, it was fairly dangerous.
Like all other cliches, it doesn't matter how difficult it was to climb (or crawl more precisely:p), when you reach the peak, it's all worth it.

North Ireland Part 2

So here continues my trip to North Ireland! :)

The little town we went on the second day is called Banger which is  in the east of Ireland.
It's a small, peaceful place by the sea with very beautiful scenery and colourful houses.
It was a nice sunny day again, but unfortunately the gardens we were planning to go to were not open yet, so we decided to have a walk around the town and by the sea.

The town is quite small and honestly doesn't have much to see or shop.
When we walked to the seaside there were lots pubs, cafe and nice small restaurants.
It was a bit chill that day, but the breeze from the sea made me feel really fresh and cheerful.
Apple and me were having fun taking pictures and wandering around.
Local people there are very friendly and welcoming. They all either smiled at us or said hello when they walked by, which completely made my day:))

Basically we spent the whole day touring around the town and walking along the seaside.
It seems there is nothing interesting there, but I'm sure when summer comes and the gardens are open, it'll be lovely to go visit and have a picnic with friends or families:))
